Architectural Draughtsman - Revit / CAD - Consultancy - 3 Month Contract

Our Regional Architectural Design consultancy client has a new requirement for 4No well experienced consultant Revit / CAD Draughtsman to join their team in Dubai to work on a new high profile high rise (G+60) projects. Successful candidates will have a proven background as an Architectural Revit / CAD draughtsman for high rise projects in the GCC and have worked for a recognised consultancy client. Preference will be given to candidates who have taken projects from pre concept - schematic design and design work from CAD to Revit.


These roles is available for immediate joining and is an initial 3 Month fixed term contract position as an outsourced employee of our client employed by J10 Consulting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with BIM Lead and Design Leads to ensure the projects compliance with the given policies and processes and to ensure timely implementation and completion
  • Works with BIM lead Design Leads and Engineers to develop engineering drawings consisting of basic arrangements layouts flow sheets assemblies isometrics component details from rough sketches and or from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures and to ensure timely implementation and completion
  • Understand BIM modeling process and able to manage all BIM related activities from project start up to project completion
  • Review each drawing for readability presentation and adherence to standards in accordance to company QA QC process
  • Good knowledge in content creation and able to create different types of parametric and non-parametric families
  • Strong knowledge in LOD requirements
  • Collaborate and communicate with other disciplines on coordination issues and model development tasks
  • Good knowledge of Autodesk Navisworks with experience of clash detection and producing clash report
  • Able to produce scheduling and quantity extraction from the model
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate


Architectural Draughtsman - Revit / CAD Experience:

  • Diploma or degree in Architecture, Design or Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of recent progressive experience
  • The ideal candidate must have strong Revit and CAD experience in Pre- Concept to Schematic Design phases.
  • Software experience required - Revit Structural / Architectural / MEP - Navisworks - AutoCAD - BIM 360 is an advantage but not essential
  • Strong knowledge in BIM understand LOD requirements and BIM processes
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English
  • Ability to work under own initiative to meet deadlines and submissions.
