Art Director - Events & Exhibitions

Our multi national Events and exhibitions contracting client has a new requirement for a well experienced Art Director to join their team in Riyadh, KSA. Successful candidates will have extensive creative and art direction experience on all size events and exhibition projects in the GCC.

This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Produces art layouts by developing art concepts and providing work direction to staff.
• Trains, assigns, schedules, and coaches’ employees.
• Meets art department work standards by following production, productivity, quality, and Client standards.
• Resolves operational problems.
• Identifies work process improvements.
• Meets art department cost standards by monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving actions.
• Formulates art concepts by supervising workers engaged in executing the artwork.
• Keeps Client informed by reviewing illustrative material for presentation.
• Reviews project production factors by studying budget, background information, objectives, presentation approaches, styles, and techniques.
• Selects and secures illustrative material by formulating basic design concepts and conducting research.
• Produces layouts for printing by marking-up, pasting-up, and finishing layouts.
• Obtains Client approval by presenting final layouts, storyboards, and illustrations; and responds to client commentary and requests.
• Improves quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations.
• Enhances art department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.

Art Director Requirements:

• The successful candidate will be educated to degree level in design, scenography or a related design field. At least 5 years’ experience working in an events agency or theming industry. Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills, with ability to meet tight deadlines producing original ideas. Proficient in 2D and 3D design (Photoshop, Illustrator, In design, Cinema 4D & 3D Max). Strong presentation skills, creative and have a passion for excellence and quality.
• Ability to work independent or Liaise with third party consultants for large scale events.
• Experience in video content: from conceptual to post-production would be an additional asset
• Creative Hand sketches and storyboards will be an advantage 
• Showing the ability to blend and grasp with multiple cultural trends implementing in creative and new ideas
• Comfortable working in an environment where speed, flexibility, and experimentation are part of the day-to-day.
• Proven experience as a creative director or in a similar creative role
• Outstanding leadership and organization skills
• Exemplary interpersonal and analytical abilities
