Assistant Asset Manager - Facilities & Asset Management

Our leading Facilities and Property Management consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Assistant Asset Manager to join their team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Successful candidates will have extensive Asset Management experience on large scale FM and Asset Management projects in the UAE. Only candidates with proven experience of development and management of CAFM systems will be considered.


This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent employment opportunity.


Responsibilities:

The Assistant Asset Manager is accountable for facilitating and supporting the delivery of:- Strategic & tactical asset management planning, validation of processes and supporting the execution of asset strategies by the project and operations teams- Building data and technology system activities to meet asset availability and service level expectations of the client, the customers and the Facilities Manager, including (but not limited to) CAFM data input review, analysis, reports and validation, Contract administration and vendor Management, business continuity and risk management, Financial budgeting, reporting, controlling and billing : support the budget process, ensure proper execution of the billing process (Client and third party) and purposeful forecasting and reporting

  • Develop and achieve asset management framework delivery strategies, budgets and other key performance deliverables
  • Facilitate and manage Asset Management activities to ensure delivery of best value for the client from its assets, production and maintenance of data, AFM technology
  • Review service delivery performance with the team and steer action plans to achieve contract deliverables, positive value-adding outcomes in coordination with DoAMP other Client Departments
  • Under direction and guidance of the DoAMP lead the Assets Management team to own the correct, reliable and compliant data, and facilitate objective driven reporting
  • Facilitate contract variation and TPS management, in coordination with Assistant Contract Manager and Procurement department
  • Lead the team to ensure sustained performance by ensuring motivation via professional development, coaching, mentoring and performance orientation.
  • Ensure department and team / individual meet performance objectives, including amongst others annual contract budgets, leave, attrition, and performance appraisals.
  • Work with the DoAMP and the client on the development of new asset management and contracting models to bring the best value and best practice in line with the client’s requirements and strategy.
  • In conjunction with the DoAMP, ensure meeting of the contractual obligations of the client.
  • Coordinate the sustainability strategy shared with DoAMP, Client and BT team.


Assistant Asset Manager (Facilities & Asset Management) Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (minimum), Master’s Degree preferred – Facilities Management, Engineering, Asset Management, Property Management, Business Management, and Contract Management.
  • 7 years’ experience in asset and facilities management managerial roles, with increasing levels of responsibility over career.
  • Development and Management of CAFM system
  • Strong reporting and Power BI or other digital dashboard management experience
  • Proven delivery of results at similar level, particularly around developing and implementing asset strategies and plans, Technology, QHSE, change and cost/value management, life span / cost to maintain analysis.
  • Engineering, Facility and Asset Management
  • QHSE Systems – ISO 9000, ISO 14000, ISO18000, ISO 45000, ISO55000
  • Technology systems – CMMS / CAFM (Essential), BMS, SCADA, etc.
  • Purposeful Data Analysis
  • Operations Management

  • Commercial / Business Management particularly Vendor Management
  • Performance Management
  • Primary Contractor service provision
