Associate Public Health Engineer - Consultancy - 3-6 Month Contract

Our International Engineering consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Associate Public Health Engineer to join their team in Dubai to work on new projects in the UAE and wider GCC. Successful candidates will have a proven background as an Associate Public Health Engineer


This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 3-6 month fixed term contract based in Dubai as an outsourced candidate employed by J10 Consulting


Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking detailed public health engineering design, preparing technical schedules and delivering exceptional designs to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Plan and manage design work and work closely with our team of Technicians
  • Under guidance of senior staff, you may represent the client at meetings with the client, other professionals and suppliers.
  • Coordinating and collaborating with other members of the project team.
  • Continually ensuring that practices, policies, strategy and services represent the client’s best interests and that client's policy is in keeping with current legislation, British Standards and Codes of Practice and other considerations
  • Mentoring and assisting Graduate Engineers and passing on your expertise
  • Develop and mentor more junior public health engineers and technicians
  • Undertake detailed engineering design for piped water supply, above and below ground drainage including preparation of layouts, schematics and details
  • Undertake engineering design for fire protection services including preparation of sprinkler layouts, schematics and details
  • Prepare technical schedules and specifications
  • Ensure that appropriate service/design decisions are met
  • Undertake engineering design for fire protection services including preparation of firefighting layouts, schematics and details
  • Prepare technical public health and firefighting schedules and specifications
  • Ensure that appropriate service/design decisions are met
  • Produce sustainable design like grey water recycling, etc


Associate Public Health Engineer Experience:

  • BSc Minimum in Engineering
  • 10+ years of experience
  • Proficient in BIM software in addition to usual design softwares
  • In-depth knowledge of local design standards and working experience with local authorities technical and legal requirements
  • Minimum 3-5 years working with a recognised Engineering Consultancy Company
  • Prior experience of major new build projects including; high rise, residential, commercial and hospitality projects is essential
  • Strong stakeholder and client management skills in a client facing role
  • Experience of working with internal, external and remote design teams is highly advantageous
