BIM Coordinator (High Rise) - Main Contractor

Our International Main Civil Contracting client has a new requirement for a seasoned BIM Coordinator to join their team in Abu Dhabi at prestigious new project in the Emirate. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a BIM Coordinator on major high rise projects in the UAE and have worked in the capacity of BIM Coordinator for a Main Contracting company working on high rise projects.


This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent opportunity employed by our client.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and participate in the development of 3D models and associated documentation, such as the BIM Execution Plan (BEP)
  • Apply BIM and CAD technologies to project designs.
  • Coordinate the Engineering Team on project sites using expertise in Building Information Modelling software.
  • Enforce and set up models according to the BEP.
  • Create, maintain, and manage a central database that hosts all models and their content under BIM management control.
  • Regularly audit, integrate, and validate information to ensure the BIM model's robustness.
  • Manage the quality and quantity of model information.
  • Arrange QC/QA meetings and set agendas.
  • Manage model updates and ensure file stability and integrity.
  • Maintain a database of all BIM elements, standards, families, and 2D/3D content.
  • Develop shared data and relationships between models (e.g., grids, floor levels, shared project coordinates)
  • Establish, create, and maintain drawing sheets and visibility settings.
  • Incorporate updates, changes, revisions, clash detections, and BIM requests into models after review and approval.
  • Coordinate production and models across multiple disciplines, including those provided by subcontractors.
  • Ensure Modelers follow the BEP.
  • Create federated Navisworks models and distribute them to the project team.
  • Set up and run weekly inter-disciplinary clash detection tests in Navisworks and issue periodic reports.
  • Participate in BIM Meetings


BIM Coordinator Experience:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture (5-year course)
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, BIM360 / ACC Docs, and Design Collaboration, Power BI, Synchro 4D
  • Familiarity with BIM processes aligned to ISO 19650
  • Civil 3D experience is a plus
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in civil and infrastructure architecture, coordinating subcontractors and construction teams, and liaising with clients.
  • Ability to propose finishes and alternatives, with a good understanding of materials.
  • Highly experienced in Navisworks; 4D experience with Synchro.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking abilities
  • Capable of task planning and time management
  • Possess analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage change effectively
