BIM Coordinator (Interior Design) - Consultancy - 6 Month Contract

Our leading Multi National Project Management & Design consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced BIM Coordinator (Interior Designer) to join their team in Dubai to work on new high profile hospitality and commercial projects. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a BIM Coordinator with Revit/BIM expertise in detail design for hospitality projects in the UAE and have worked for a recognised consultancy client.


This roles is available for immediate joining and is an initial 6 Month fixed term contract position as an outsourced employee of our client employed by J10 Consulting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring the Client’s exchange information requirements are responded to and delivered against.
  • Support the Project Delivery Design Teams in day to day BIM implementation activities.
  • Contribute to checking the delivery team’s electronic document management system (EDMS) is configured to fulfil the workflow and rules of the common data environment (CDE).
  • Provide hands-on BIM software training for Project team members.
  • Contribute to creating and developing information management resources such as the BIM execution plan, detailed responsibility matrix, exchange information requirements, and master information delivery plan.
  • Perform Quality Assurance and Control checks on models and maintain a tracker to confirm geometrical and nongeometrical information compliance with the Project's design and BIM requirements.
  • Review and maintain openBIM Standards deliverables such as IFC, COBie, etc.
  • Review, monitor, and report on the development of clash interference and fully coordinated models.
  • Experience in data management and reporting tools such as MS Power BI.
  • Background about Proving Ground and Vcad tools is preferred.


BIM Coordinator (Interior Design) Experience:

  • Diploma or degree in Architecture, or Interior Design
  • Minimum 5-7 years of recent progressive experience in BIM Coordination
  • Strong knowledge in BIM understand LOD requirements and BIM processes
  • Experience and understanding of openBIM standards such IFC, COBie, etc.
  • Proficient in a range of BIM authoring tools and collaboration applications and/or platforms, e.g. Revit, Navisworks, BIM360, Aconex, ProjectWise etc.
  • Dynamo/Grasshopper scripting is an advantage
  • Autodesk BIM interoperability tools background is preferred.
  • Model Federation & Clash Detection experience is required.
  • Revit API knowledge is a plus
