BIM Coordinator (Landscapes) - Consultancy

Our Multi National Design and Engineering consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced consultant Landscape BIM Coordinator to join their team in Dubai to work on high profile Landscape and civil beautification / urban regeneration projects. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Landscape BIM Coordinator for large scale landscape and civil beautification projects in the GCC and have worked for a recognised consultancy client


These roles is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent placement employed by our client.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in Setting up, developing and delivering structured BIM models for projects within the discipline (Landscapes).
  • Ensure that all CAD and BIM data comply with the BIM Project Execution Plan.
  • Support generative design with routines automation.
  • Support the setup, development, configuration, establishment of the Common Data Environment (CDE) for project use.
  • Ensure Project Information Models (PIM’s) are delivered in accordance with the agreed protocol.
  • Support, update and maintain QA/QC check templates
  • Measure and ensure the highest quality for all BIM package submissions in accordance with project standards and requirements
  • Record, store and maintain all formal correspondences related to BIM activities
  • Perform QA/QC checks and maintain QA/QC check tracker
  • Review, monitor and report on the development of clash interference and fully coordinated models
  • Conduct clash detection and visual walkthroughs respecting clash severity matrix and prioritization.
  • Prepare own discipline model and/or content for internal reviews and coordination meetings
  • Review BIM submission from trade Contractors
  • Monitor and validate testing and commissioning data in models
  • Monitor and support the data collection process and validate Asset Information Models (AIM’s) and Client Specific requirements.


BIM Coordinator (Landscapes) Experience:

  • Diploma or degree in Landscape Architecture, Design or Engineering
  • Minimum 5-7 years of recent progressive experience in BIM Coordination
  • Strong knowledge in BIM understand LOD requirements and BIM processes
  • Experience and understanding of openBIM standards such IFC, COBie, etc.
  • Proficient in a range of BIM authoring tools and collaboration applications and/or platforms, e.g. Revit, Civil 3D, Infraworks, Navisworks, BIM360, Aconex, ProjectWise etc.
  • Dynamo/Grasshopper scripting is an advantage
  • Autodesk BIM interoperability tools background is preferred.
  • Model Federation & Clash Detection experience is required.
  • Revit API knowledge is a plus
