BIM Manager - PMC - 8 Month Contract

Our Global PMC Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced consultant BIM Manager to join their team to work on Commercial, hospitality, healthcare and mixed use build projects in Abu Dhabi. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a BIM Manager for large scale projects in the GCC who have worked for a recognised PMC business previously


This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 8 month contract position employed as an outsourced engineer through J10 Consulting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Drives the strategic planning and management of CAD and BIM/Revit functions including building BIM/Revit capability, resource planning, and overall management of BIM and CAD environment, under the guidance of Project Management on site.
  • Supporting on development initiatives including the planning and implementation of AutoCAD to BIM/Revit migration for a full 3D (and subsequently 4D/5D) design technology capability deployment.
  • Work with the team towards implementing full BIM technology deployment on large scale projects to include 4D (scheduling & manpower) and 5D (cost analysis) using BIM models.
  • As part of a multi-disciplinary project delivery team, supports with contributing actively to structure, process and compliance improvements; improves CAD/BIM work-flows, policies, procedures, processes and controls to ensure full adherence with QA/QC requirements in accordance with Company’s ISO9001 Quality Management System.
  • Drives CAD/BIM operations and performance improvement initiatives including all necessary functional, technological and operational improvements; implements best practices and standards to optimize BIM project delivery, quality and profitability.
  • Recommends the adoption of new technologies, system upgrades and customizations as necessary.
  • Trains, develops and coaches CAD and BIM/Revit teams and other users as necessary. Develops and maintains groupwide CAD and BIM libraries.
  • Guides, supports and oversees execution of the projects on site; resolves complex technical issues


BIM Manager Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, or Engineering.
  • At least 10 years’ experience in Design Consultancy for buildings project delivery.
  • At least 7 years’ experience in BIM Implementation on major projects or program
  • Must have experience working on various multi-story building projects as part of the Consultant or Contractor.
  • Must have experience with British BIM Standards PAS1192 and BS1192.
  • Proficient with BIM authoring and proprietary software applications such as: Revit, Civil 3D, AECOsim, Dynamo, Grasshopper, Navisworks, VICO, Cost X, Synchro, BIM 360 Glue/Field or similar applications Possess excellent English communication skills with an ability to form effective relationship with project delivery team, Client, and Contractor.
  • Excellent writing skills in preparing letters, technical instructions, analytical reports, and presentations. Preferably with experience in Middle East/Gulf Countries
