BIM Modeler - Public Health & Fire Protection - 3 Month Contract

Our Leading Architectural & Engineering Design & Supervision client has a new requirement for 3 number of well experienced BIM Modelers - Public Health & Fire Protection to join their team in Dubai at prestigious new build projects. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a BIM Modeler specialised in to Public Health & Fire Protection on major new build projects in the UAE.


This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 3 month fixed term contract position as an outsourced candidate employed by J10 Consulting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow established drafting standards and principles to prepare layouts and drawings from engineering specifications.
  • Collaborate with the design team to support and adhere in the required production of required drawings.
  • Effectively coordinates and develops discipline related BIM models for projects
  • Keep abreast of design changes and model changes through inter-disciplinary coordination
  • To keep abreast with new trends, software and best practices for use of BIM to enhance existing core business processes.
  • Monitors quality control procedures for completeness and adherence to company standards of all drawings produced and provides feedback to Lead BIM & Technology Manager.
  • Adhere to BIM workflows and maintain highest quality standards
  • Ensure detail design drawings and construction documents are accurate
  • Participate in design reviews if required
  • Use Computer Aided Design (CAD) and associated peripheral equipment and software or manual drafting techniques to perform scaling dimensioning, or line locating.
  • Combine details from sketches, drawings, and blueprints to make required calculations.
  • Detail, redraw, letter, and trace drawings on components, assemblies, and engineering change orders.
  • Interpret data, instructions, and specifications (for example previous drawings, layouts, sketches, notes, and verbal instructions) to prepare accurate drawings


BIM Modeler - Public Health & Fire Protection Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related
  • Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience - at least 2 in an engineering consultancy company
  • Ability to adhere to tight deadlines
  • Understanding of the design process within a multidisciplinary consultancy.
  • Middle East Experience
  • Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
  • Professional proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Illustrator, InDesign, 3DsMax, Revit, Sketchup, Navisworks
