BIM Technician - AV / MEP - 3 month contract

Our International design consultancy client has a new requirement for a number of well experienced BIM technicians to join their team in Abu Dhabi. Successful candidates will have strong MEP experience and major project exposure in AV will be preferred.

This role is available for immediate joining and is for an initial 3-month fixed term contract as an outsourced employee through J10 Consulting.

Key Responsibilities:

• To assist BIM coordinator(s) in 3D Revit modelling and Maintenance of federated models.  
• To assist BIM coordinator(s) in the modelling and creation of REVIT families. 
• To adhere to CDE standard of work and model to BIM level 2 where possible on all Revit families. 
• Make changes within the BIM once issues are identified through clash detection. 
• To assist BIM coordinator(s) in creation of 2D drawings and information output direct from the BIM. 
• Attend coordination meetings and demonstrate an understanding of the project at hand.

Required Skills

• Demonstrable experience with Autodesk Revit.
• Demonstrable experience with BIM capable softwares (Navisworks, BIM360, BIM collab).
• Have an understanding of the construction industry (large scale projects preferred).
• Be able to work well within a team

Preferred Experience:

• Audio Visual engineering experience/ an interest in the AV industry.
• AV BIM modelling experience and family creation
• Relevant degree/qualification demonstrating BIM capability
