Civil Draughtsman (Dry Utilities) - Consultancy - 3 Month Contract

Our Multi National Engineering consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Dry Utilities Draftsman to join their team in Dubai to work on high profile infrastructure projects. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Dry Utilities Draftsman for large scale infrastructure projects in the GCC and should have proven experience in a recognised consultancy or PMC company
This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 3 month contract position, employed as an outsource through J10 Consulting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs complex drafting / modeling assignments that require judgment in resolving issues or making recommendations.
- Preparation of drawings using Civil 3D model. for all Dry Utilities works.
- Work with Infrastructure Dept / Transportation Dept - discipline engineers to develop detailed design drawings (Roads, Utilities, etc)
- Assist with Infrastructure / transportation / water / Utility project civil design coordination with 3D models, using coordination tools such as Navis-works etc.
- Understand design and drafting systems and standards followed by Clients Actively working on improving drafting skills and increasing knowledge of BIM / Navis-works.
- Added advantage : Demonstrable experience in the implementation of BIM technology for Dry Utilities works. Should be working on below mentioned software ideally : AUTOCAD, Navisworks, Micro-station, BIM is an added advantage
Dry Utilities Draftsman Experience:
- Diploma or Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years experience
- Proven related professional experience in a recognised consultancy company or Tier 1 PMC
- Experience of working on large scale infrastructure projects including telecom and ELV networks
- Strong CAD & Civil 3D skills in addition to the usual design programmes.
