Civil Draughtsman - Main Contractor - 3 Month Contract

Our Main Contractor Civil Contracting client has a new requirement for a well experienced Civil Draughtsman (Architectural / Structural) to join their team in Dubai to work on new mid-rise civil construction projects. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Civil Draughtsman for projects in the UAE and have worked for a recognised main civil contracting company.

This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 3 Month fixed term contract position as an outsourced employee of our client employed by J10 Consulting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare concept drawings from PD design sketches.
• Dimensioning & preparing Area Schedule.
• Update Preliminary Design.
• Maintaining electronic drawing files.
• Comply with the Quality Management System.
• Prepare Detailed Engineering drawings from Engineers sketches/ Basic Engineering Drawings
• Revise Detailed Engineering Drawings to incorporate comments
• Revising Tender drawings as per Clients Comments.
• Prepare/organise Area Schedule.
• Make regular backups and Maintaining electronic files

Civil Draughtsman Experience:

• Diploma or degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or Architecture
• Minimum 6 years of recent progressive experience (at least 3 years in the UAE with recognised Contracting companies)
• The ideal candidate must have strong CAD and Revit experience in Pre- Concept to Schematic Design phases.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit and MS Office
• Ability to communicate clearly in English
• Ability to work under own initiative to meet deadlines and submissions.
