Civil Engineer - TRANSCO Substations - ADM Registered

Our multi national consulting client has a new requirement for a well experienced Civil Engineer holding Abu Dhabi Municipality registration as a Practising or Resident Engineer to join their team in Abu Dhabi. Successful candidates will have strong Civil Engineering experience on TRANSCO projects in the UAE and Abu Dhabi specifically


This role is available for candidates only holding ADM Registration and TRANSCO project experience. It is a direct hire, permanent position.


Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate all the civil construction works of TRANSCO projects in line with approved drawings setting out levelling and surveying the site
  • Estimate prepare and assign the resources such as manpower materials consumables equipment tools etc required for all civil works prior to execution
  • Plan and analyse all possible construction methodologies and recommends the best options for approval prior to execution at site
  • Interpret construction drawings and studies the contract documents and applicable standards or specifications prior to execution of any jobs
  • Manage the site workforce and provide engineering and technical supports to all the civil work groups at site
  • Plan the execution of all civil related works and coordinates the works with the project team
  • Coordinate with Client representatives for any site instructions inspection of works and attend progress meetings with contractors
  • To ensure that all the works done are in accordance with the approvals


Civil Engineer - Abu Dhabi Municipality Practising Engineer Requirements:

The desired candidate must: 

  • have a Bachelors Degree or 3 year diploma in Civil Engineering. 
  • have a minimum of 10 years’ industry experience in Civil Engineering with at least 1 high profile TRANSCO Substation project experience. 
  • have excellent written and oral communication skills 
  • have proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office suite.
  • hold a previous or current Abu Dhabi Municipality registration as a Practising or Resident Civil Engineer. 
  • Civil Eng. working in HV cable and HV power substations.
  • Previous experience as a consultant for power utilities works is preferred
