Water Engineer - Consultancy - 3-6 Month Contract

Our Global Project Management Consultancy (PMC) client has a new requirement for a well experienced Consultant Civil Engineer (Water Supply & Engineering) to join their team in Abu Dhabi to work on new projects in the UAE & Wider GCC. Successful candidates will have extensive experience as a Consultant Civil Engineer (Water Supply) ideally with a recognised consultancy company background.

This role is available for immediate joining and is a temporary position for 3-6 months, outsourced through J10 Consulting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake design and modelling works for water supply, firefighting, and irrigation infrastructure projects.
• Prepare reports and design documentation for water supply, and irrigation infrastructure projects.
• Undertake Modeling for all wet services with different kinds of modelling software and strive for modelling excellence.
• Modelling and design experience of pressurized system required.
• Ability to validate the modelling output with engineering calculations.
• Ensure quality and timely delivery of infrastructure design works for projects to Clients within the required allocated budgets.
• Exposure to different software such as Civil3D, Navisworks, AutoCAD etc.
• Coordination with authorities for design and NOC approvals.
• Understanding of UAE and KSA design guideline and authorities’ requirements
• Coordinate with CAD Technicians and provide design input.
• Attend progress meetings internally and externally and support senior engineers with recording and tracking of actions.
• Support graduate engineers in their technical development.
• Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
• Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
• Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
• Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.
• Identifies discrepancies in results.
• Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
• Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.

Civil Engineer (Water Supply) Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of design experience in relevant projects.
• Bachelors/ Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Software skills especially in WaterGEMs, SewerGEM, Civil 3D, Bentley Hammer.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Inter Discipline coordination.
• Good team player.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
