Civil / Finishing Foreman - 3 Month Contract

Our Multi National Contracting client has a new requirement for a well experienced Civil and Finishing Foreman to join their team in Dubai, UAE. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Civil and Finishing Foreman for a Main Contracting or Fit Out contracting company on large scale commercial fit out projects and contracts in the UAE.

This role is available for immediate joining and is for an initial 3 month fixed term contract as an outsourced employee through J10 Consulting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Health Safety and Quality Control
• Manage site labor effectively based on time and cost
• Control materials usage effectively
• Assist in the project in short term planning for the project and on-site coordination to ensure maximum productivity
• Provide knowledgeable and practical advice on construction detailing and finishes
• Ensure that key programmed dates are achieved on time
• Maintain a daily site diary including labor resources and operation details, plant allocations, deliveries and/or accidents and or incidents
• Check deliveries for quality when delivered and report on delivery note before signing
• Co-ordination deliveries on site with site manager and site operative
• Support the site management team by overseeing the finishes and full management of the snagging for each room/apartment.
• Day to day duties will include: carrying out quality control inspections from the 2nd fix stage until completion of all applicable trades such as carpentry, MEP, plastering, ceramic tiling, floor covering, painting and decorations, etc.
• Responsible for closing out quality defective works and carrying out 'snagging lists'.
• Assessing the quality of work at all stages of construction and ensure that all persons/materials are capable of achieving the required standards and to specified work progress schedule.
• Responsible for supervision and coordination of all trade teams to ensure smooth and streamlined work activities to achieve the best speed and quality of the finished product.
• Ensure that all subcontractors have a proper understanding of the construction programme dates and are managed to maintain them

Civil Finishing Foreman Experience:

• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in main contracting / big fit out contracting companies
• At least 3 years of which should be in Dubai
• Driving Licence is preferred
