Civil Utilities Engineer - PMC - 6-12 Month Contract

Our Global PMC Client has a new requirement for a well experienced Civil & Utilities Engineer to join their team in Madinat Zayed, Abu Dhabi, UAE to work on a new infrastructure project. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Civil / Utilities Engineer working on large scale infrastructure projects in a recognised PMC or Consultancy company background.

This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 6-12 Month Contract position as an outsource, employed by J10 Consulting.

Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Site Engineer - Utilities & Road to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing utilities and road construction projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently, on time, and within budget.

• Manage and coordinate utilities and road construction projects from inception to completion
• Develop and review project plans, specifications, and cost estimates
• Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and local regulations
• Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues
• Monitor project progress and prepare regular status reports
• Implement quality control measures and safety protocols on construction sites
• Coordinate with local authorities for necessary permits and approvals
• Analyze and interpret technical data to make informed decisions
• Optimize project efficiency through effective resource allocation and scheduling
• Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements in utilities and road construction

Civil Utilities Engineer Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience
• Previous experience in construction supervision of infrastructure projects including road works, utilities within UAE.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS software
• Strong project management skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite
• In-depth knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Dubai and the UAE
• Comprehensive understanding of utility systems (water, sewer, electrical, gas)
• Familiarity with road construction techniques and materials
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
