Construction Engineer (Rafts) - Consultancy

Our Global Project Management Consultancy client has a new requirement for a number of well experienced Consultant Construction Engineers specialising in Rafts, basement, concrete and rebar to join their team in NEOM, KSA at a high profile Infrastructure & Build project. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Consultant Construction Engineer for large scale raft construction on large scale building projects ideally within KSA and/or the wider GCC.

This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent placement with our client.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with architects and other engineers to develop detailed construction plans and specifications and work with contractors to develop cost estimates and project schedules.
• Oversee the construction process to ensure that it is completed according to the plans and specifications.
• Monitor the progress of the project and identify and resolve any problems that arise.
• Responsible for ensuring that the construction project meets quality standards with the Quality department.
• Responsible for implementin safety procedures and support HSW on conduct of safety inspections and training to ensure that workers are aware of and follow safety procedures.
• Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders, including architects, contractors, subcontractors, and client sectors and proponents. 
• Knowledge of Construction materials and processes with understanding of the different materials and processes used in construction
• Use structural analysis to calculate the forces and stresses that will be exerted on a structure and to ensure that it is safe and stable during construction
• Basic understanding of geotechnical engineering for foundation construction
• Familiar with the application of building codes and regulations

Construction Engineer (Rafts) Experience:

• A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in construction engineering with at least 1 in a recognised PMC or consultancy company.
• Proven experience of working on large scale raft construction projects including concrete and rebar
• Ability to identify and solve complex problems quickly and efficiently.
• Able to plan and schedule raft construction projects effectively.
• Strong technical skills, including proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering software.
• Hands-on experience with construction materials and processes.
