Consultant HSE Manager

Our global Engineering consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced consultant HSE Manager or Senior Manager to join their team in KSA at a high profile project. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a HSE Lead on large scale civil construction projects in KSA and the wider GCC.


This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent placement with our client.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that HSEQ policies, procedures and processes are effectively embedded across the project
  • Ensure the implementation of the client HSEQ management system across project.
  • Lead on HSEQ initiatives and awareness campaigns .
  • Undertake regular project site inspections and audits to ensure that site activities carried out in line with client and legal requirements, with the focus on high risk activities
  • Provide advice, support and training on compliance with relevant (legal and client) HSEQ requirements at all stages of the project life cycle to key stakeholders
  • Establish and execute development plans
  • Work with key stakeholders to ensure training needs are identified and training plans are executed
  • Lead and promote a positive HSEQ culture
  • Promote and encourage safe behaviours to support a positive HSEQ culture
  • Manage and support on incident investigations to determine causation and develop action plans that minimise or prevent recurrence
  • Review and analyse incidents and hazard trends and implement action plans in collaboration with team


Consultant HSE Manager Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering? with minimum 10-15 years working experience within health, safety and environment policies and procedures in construction projects
  • At least 5 years previous experience working in the Middle East with a Tier 1 Consultancy
  • Hold a BSc / MSc or equivalent health and safety qualification
  • Hold an environmental qualification IEMA, NEBOSH Environmental or NVQ 5 Diploma or equivalent
  • Have an internal / external auditing qualification, ISO 45001, 14001 or 9001
  • Chartered Member of a professional body i.e. IOSH, IIRSM or SocEnv.
