Consultant Project Engineer (Earthworks) - PMC

Our Global Project Management Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Consultant Project Engineer specialising in Earthworks and Infrastructure projects to join their team in NEOM, KSA at a high profile Infrastructure & Build project. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Consultant Project Engineer for Earthworks and Infrastructure on large scale building infrastructure projects ideally within KSA and/or the wider GCC.


This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent placement with our client.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with architects and other engineers to develop detailed construction plans and specifications and work with contractors to develop cost estimates and project schedules.
  • Oversee the construction process to ensure that it is completed according to the plans and specifications.
  • Monitor the progress of the project and identify and resolve any problems that arise.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the construction project meets quality standards with the Quality department.
  • Responsible for implementin safety procedures and support HSW on conduct of safety inspections and training to ensure that workers are aware of and follow safety procedures.
  • Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders, including architects, contractors, subcontractors, and client sectors and proponents. 
  • Knowledge of Construction materials and processes with understanding of the different materials and processes used in construction
  • Use structural analysis to calculate the forces and stresses that will be exerted on a structure and to ensure that it is safe and stable during construction
  • Basic understanding of geotechnical engineering for foundation construction
  • Familiar with the application of building codes and regulations


Consultant Project Engineer (Earthworks) Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in construction engineering with at least 2 in a recognised PMC or consultancy company.
  • Ability to identify and solve complex problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Able to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and government officials.
  • Lead and manage teams of people.
  • Able to plan, schedule, and budget construction projects effectively.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering software.
  • Hands-on experience with construction materials and processes.
  • Experience working on construction projects of varying sizes and complexities especially in the Middle East.
  • Good understanding of the construction industry, including the latest trends and technologies.
  • Conflict resolution skills between different stakeholders.
  • Able to adapt to changing conditions and unexpected challenges.
  • Able to pay close attention to detail to ensure that their designs and plans are accurate and safe
