Control & Scheduling Engineer

Our global Engineering consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Control & Scheduling Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, KSA at a high profile project. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Control & Scheduling Engineer on large scale civil construction projects in KSA and the wider GCC.


This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent placement with our client.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains project baseline and plans, including critical path logic networks and associated bar charts;
  • Analyzes, evaluates, and forecasts current status against an established baseline schedule; Assesses the impact(s) of changes and schedule slippages;
  • Reports schedule status to all levels of project and Company management as well as to the Client;
  • Provides computer input and performs analytical review of reports generated;
  • Accumulates and accesses historical data, such as performance experience, for use in maintaining a realistic basis for future planning and forecasting.
  • May provide guidance, direction, and specialized assistance to others in the resolution of project planning and control problems.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
  • Must work with project managers and project controls manager in the areas of planning and scheduling.
  • Must understand and interpret contract specifications to accordingly prepare and review schedules.
  • Must collect and report on project schedules identifying and assisting in analysis of project schedule variances and assist in the development of corrective action.
  • Understands and applies engineering, procurement, and construction terminology, concepts, and relationships.


Control & Scheduling Engineer Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management (or related field)
  • 5+ years of related work experience, or equivalent work experience required.
  • Consultancy background is preferred as is experience on at least 1 mega project
  • Assignments require the advance proficiency in Primavera P6 and a working knowledge of various softwares used in project controls such as MS Office (particularly Excel), TILOS, PMIS and EDMS.
