Cost Controller (Facilities & Asset Management)

Our leading Facilities and Property Management consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Cost Controller to join their team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Successful candidates will have extensive Cost Control experience on large scale FM and Asset Management projects in the UAE. Only candidates with proven experience of development and management of CAFM systems will be considered.


This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent employment opportunity.


Responsibilities:

Responsible for establishing and maintaining operations, asset replacement and capital budgets and forecasts including data collection, asset management cost-to-maintain or replacement and life-cycle analysis, establishment and scrutiny over Operations, IT and Capital Budgets and Forecasts, insurance procurement and management as well as periodical auditing of the property operations.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Actively develop, analyse and assess utilisation of Operations, IT, Capital Budgets and Forecasts and cash flow for company and each project supporting dynamic business model i.e. growth/cost reduction/value realization
  • Work alongside Assistant Assets Manager, Facilities Managers and client support functions to understand and implement long-term objectives and forecasts; resolve inconsistencies
  • Ensure that the budgeting activities are carried out effectively, efficiently and in accordance with governance requirements, internal policies and procedures and authority delegation; review data input, question validity and assumptions and clearly report the budget basis while establishing goals, objectives, and milestones that support recommendations for executive decision-making.
  • Develop policies for the inventory movement and its accurate reporting and reconciliation
  • Establish, implement and evaluate contracts audits; formulate report findings to higher management
  • Prepare reports and presentation for meeting between the budget teams of Sinyar and the client.
  • Any other tasks as requested by the Assistant Assets Manager

Analysing & Reporting’

  • Conduct, review and continually improve cost-benefit analysis for individual projects; establish, implement and evaluate
  • asset management cost-to-maintain or replacement and life-cycle analysis
  • Provide inputs to senior management / leadership on decisions like Insourcing/Outsourcing
  • In collaboration with Asset Management team and client support functions, implement and measure contract KPI’s and SLA’s


Cost Controller (Facilities & Asset Management) Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree Level – Finance and/or Investment Analysis, Budget Management. Alternative qualifications i.e. engineering may be considered based on level of experience and skillset
  • Preferably with Chartered Accountant certification or equivalent
  • Min 5 years’ relevant experience in complex operating environment, preferably with at least 2 years in Facilities Management environment
  • MS Office including Presentations and MS Projects expert
  • Accounting in an operational assets or FM environment
  • Operating, IT and CAPEX Budgeting, Forecasting, Cash flows, Reconciliations
  • Variance reporting, validation, improvement recommendation
