Design Lead / Sustainability Consultant - Consultancy

Our Multi National Project Management Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Design Lead / Sustainability Consultant to join their team in the UAE to work on Residential, Commercial and Hospitality projects in the Emirates. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Sustainability Design Lead on new build and refurbishment projects in the UAE and the wider GCC and a proven background working in a recognised PMC or Design Consultancy business. Only candidates holding professional certifications / memberships such as LEED AP ID+C, LEED AP BD+C, LEED O&M, BREEAM, Sustainability, WELL certification will be considered.


This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent placement with our client.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Organizes own work to achieve set deadlines
  • Independently checks the accuracy of own work prior to review by the Senior Engineer or designated senior team member
  • Supports development of designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, working drawings, develops details, specifications
  • Adopts good engineering/design solutions to assigned tasks and develops appropriate research and documentation to support these solutions
  • Supports the preparation and compilation of design presentations and design reports
  • Develops an awareness of clients QMS procedures
  • Coordinates with internal design disciplines to achieve a high quality, consistent set of presentation or design documents.
  • Supports on research for emerging tech/trends on sustainability and wellness in the built environment


Design Lead / Sustainability Consultant Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related filed - preferable
  • Minimum of 5 years professional experience
  • Professional certifications / memberships such as LEED AP ID+C, LEED AP BD+C, LEED O&M, BREEAM, Sustainability, WELL certification  necessary
  • Multi-lingual abilities are an advantage
  • Must have significant experience in the GCC particularly UAE and KSA
  • Consultant / Client-side experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to managing tasks and projects.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple medium to large scale projects
