Design Project Manager - Architectural Consultancy

Our International Multi Discipline Design Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Senior Architectural Design Project Manager to join their team in Dubai to work on prestigious new projects in the region. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Senior Project Manager on high rise residential, commercial and hospitality projects along with major masterplans in the UAE. Candidates must have worked for a recognised architectural and design consultancy client as a Senior Architectural Design Project Manager

This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent opportunity employed by our client.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute in preparing proposals for new projects
• Leading the design team in Planning the project design inputs and deliverables to meet client budget and requirements.
• Monitor in-house design activities man hours
• Managing the preparing of design reports to ensure all design aspects are covered considering the contractual agreement.
• Act as the face of the client to all stakeholders
• Be the point of contact to all members of the project and all facets of the project work and manages the policies and procedures set forth in the company.
• Coordinates with various disciplines to work together.
• Responsible for total delivery of services to the best professional standards.
• Work as a team leader during all the project stages.
• Set targets, monitor progress and make critical decisions as to how to deliver projects on time and within budget, and to meet clients’ expectations.
• Manage subconsultants, set standards, goals and objectives to be achieved by subconsultants and ensure their delivery.
• Implement the Quality Management System and evaluate where continual improvements can be made.
• Other duties as requested from time to time.

Architectural Design Project Manager Experience:

• Professional degree in Architecture with 10+ years of total experience, and at least 5 years managing projects in the GCC.
• Experience in different types of Building and Complexes, Residential, Mixed use, Hospitality, High rise, retail etc.
• Capable of communicating with Clients, and Contractors on large and complex projects.
• Able to manage full coordination between multiple disciplines and subconsultants in different locations.
• Familiarity with Local Building Regulations and Authorities including International Building Codes and Life Safety requirements for building design as well as an understanding of local requirements is a must.
• Experienced with modern techniques in building construction as well as standard construction methods in the region.
• Will be involved in daily contact with the Client and/or Representative and must follow through with managing the workload of the team as well as invoicing and payment from the Client.
• Excellent written and oral skills are required.
• Ability to use some of the following: AutoCAD, Sketch up, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
