Design Project Manager - Consultancy

Our Multi National Architectural & Engineering Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Design / Project Manager for Large Scale Design & Build Projects to join their team in Dubai, UAE. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Design / Project Manager on large scale high rise, residential, commercial and hospitality projects in UAE and the wider GCC and have worked for a recognised Tier 1 consultancy previously.

This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent opportunity employed by our client.

Key Responsibilities:

• Will lead the design operations of multiple projects while overseeing interaction and interface between multiple design stakeholders by being the project safe keeper.
• As the main point of contact with Clients, the responsibilities revolved around chairing meetings with all stakeholders and ensuring proper communication between all parties involved; Contracts and deliverables management, identifying effective procurement strategy for the project, programme and design management, keeping the NOC tracker up to date, conducting VE exercises and exploring creative solutions to achieve client targets in terms of delivery dates and budgets.
• Managed a significant number of super high-rise towers, residential and commercial buildings, hospitality and private luxury homes for various Clients.
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
• Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant parties and ensuring technical feasibility
• Ensure resource availability and allocation
• Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
• Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
• Report and escalate to management as needed
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks
• Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

Design - Project Manager - Consultancy Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (BEng)
• Minimum of 5 years experience of working within an engineering consultancy in UAE (preferably in Dubai)
• Proven working experience as a project administrator in the information technology sector
• With technical background, understanding or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Project Management certification is a plus
