Electrical Design Engineer - Consultancy - 3 Month Contract

Our Global Engineering Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their design team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Successful candidates will have a strong background in delivering Electrical design for hospitality, residential and mixed use projects in the UAE and wider GCC. Candidates must have delivered projects for a recognised Tier 1 PMC or Consultancy previously.

This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 3 month temporary contract, employed as an outsourced candidate through J10 Consulting.

Responsibilities:

• Perform design calculations related to electrical works such as including power, containment, lighting, emergency lighting, fire detection and alarm, data and telecommunications, earthing and lightning protection systems using governing engineering formulas, standards, skills, and experience.
• Develop design requirements for main equipment and space plan of the electrical plantrooms.
• Experience in utilizing BIM360 for delivery of projects.
• Experience in Coordination and clash detection between the MEP services and able to solve the technical coordination problems through interface with other disciplines.
• Prepare general arrangements layouts, and schematic (single line) diagrams.
• Frequently interfaces with other Engineering disciplines as well as other departments
• Provides technical guidance to REVIT / CAD Designers, Drafters

Electrical Design Engineer Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from a major University, Professional Engineer registration may be required.
• Experience of delivery of Middle East experience is mandatory requirement to demonstrate understanding of regional requirements.
• Working knowledge and understanding of international building codes such as standards such as IEC , BS , ANSI. etc.
• Experience and understanding of DEWA and ADDC regulations, standards and submission documentation.
• Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other engineering design software packages such Hevacomp, AMTECH, ETAP, RELUX etc.
• Ability to implement Quality Management System on projects effectively
