Electrical / ELV BIM Modeler - Consultancy - 3 Month Contract

Our International Engineering consultancy client has a new requirement for 2 No well experienced consultant Electrical / ELV BIM Modelers to join their team in Dubai to work on a new build high rise and villa projects. Successful candidates will have a proven background as an Electrical / ELV BIM Modeler for high rise building and villa projects in the GCC and have worked for a recognised consultancy client.


These roles is available for immediate joining and is an initial 3 Month fixed term contract position as an outsourced employee of our client employed by J10 Consulting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with MEP BIM Lead and Design Leads to ensure the projects compliance with the given policies and processes and to ensure timely implementation and completion
  • Design of electrical and communications systems for industrial, residential, and commercial facilities
  • Works with BIM lead, Design Leads and Engineers to develop engineering drawings consisting of basic arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, component details from rough sketches and/or from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures, and to ensure timely implementation and completion
  • Understand BIM modeling process and able to manage all BIM related activities from project start up to project completion
  • Review each drawing for readability, presentation and adherence to standards, in accordance to company QA/QC process
  • Good knowledge in content creation and able to create different types of parametric and non-parametric families
  • Strong knowledge in LOD requirements
  • Collaborate and communicate with other disciplines on coordination issues and model development tasks
  • Good knowledge of Autodesk Navisworks, with experience of clash detection and producing clash report
  • Able to produce scheduling and quantity extraction from the model
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate


Electrical / ELV BIM Modeler Experience:

  • Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of recent progressive experience
  • The ideal candidate must have strong Revit and CAD experience in all design phases.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the Electrical Engineering design and analysis.
  • Capable to Prepare Load Schedule, SLD
  • Strong understanding of LOD
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a high level of accuracy in calculations and design.
  • Ability to work on assigned scope independently
  • Ability to work under own initiative to meet deadlines and submissions.
