Electrical Inspector - Consultancy

Our International Engineering Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced, Electrical Inspector to join their team in Jeddah, KSA. Successful candidates will have a proven background as an Electrical Inspector for a consultancy company on large scale building and Fit Out projects in KSA and the wider GCC.
This role is available for immediate joining and is for a direct hire, permanent opportunity employed by our client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring installation of all Electrical power, Lighting, structured cabling and Extra Low Voltage systems like Fire alarm, CCTV, Access Control, Public address system and Building Management
- Systems aspects of the project to ensure compliance with approved and proper standards.
- Undertake MIR inspections for delivered Electrical, Structured cabling and Extra Low Voltage systems materials to ensure compliance with the given approval.
- Inspection of works carried out by contractor in respect of the works relative to Electrical power, Lighting, structured cabling, and Extra Low Voltage systems.
- Manage safety aspects when dealing with Electrical networks installations
- Provide reports on the progress of Electrical, structured cabling and Extra Low Voltage network aspects of the project.
- Prepare the Field Observation for any defective and/or inferior quality works observed at site and report to the senior Engineer/ Engineer.
- Liaising with the other Inspectors and Project Engineers to provide support and guidance as required
- Assist Electrical Engineer to maintain registers of all submittals and testing, both on site and off site.
Electrical Inspector Requirements:
- Bachelors degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in construction supervision of building projects such as commercial, residential, hospitality or mixed use.
- Must have worked for a recognised Engineering Consultancy company as opposed to contracting companies.
- Preferably with experience working on similar projects in KSA or the wider GCC.
- Good written and oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with project personnel and management.
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications and be thoroughly familiar with construction related processes related to area of assignment
