Estimation Engineer - Fit Out, Joinery, Events & Exhibitions

Our regional fit out, events and exhibitions production and contracting client has a new requirement for a well experienced Estimation Engineer to join their team in Dubai, UAE. Successful candidates will have extensive fit out, events and exhibitions estimation experience on all size and fast-track fit out, event and exhibition projects in the GCC
This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
As an Estimator you will be responsible for calculating event, exhibition, fit-out and joinery cost estimates and you will be involved in the planning development negotiation and contract execution of a project. To be successful as an Estimator you should have excellent communication skills and great attention to detail. Outstanding Estimators are able to negotiate with a range of professionals, make accurate time and cost estimates and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Determining the total cost of materials equipment utilities and labour for events, exhibitions and fit out projects
- Budget preparation
- UAE market knowledge
- Researching construction documents and analyzing specifications
- Preparing estimates for planning organizing and scheduling project work
- Managing pre-qualification and pre-bid submissions
- Calculate standard labour hours necessary to produce units or to complete project
- Track projects throughout its course to recommend budget adjustments of the project
- Predict the expense of the future projects or products by analyzing monetary costs and other factors to provide good estimate for the project
- Preparing estimates to meet project goals such as setting work hours sequencing tasks obtaining materials and securing the best deals with vendors and subcontractors
- Ensuring that the relevant documents and budgets are submitted before a deadline
- Regularly reporting to the Management and keeping clients updated on the project status
- Formulating contingency plans and effectively managing risks that might impact cost and time estimates
- Keeping track of the latest estimating technology and industry-related techniques
- Collaborating with other teams conducting site visits when required
Estimation Engineer Requirements:
- Bachelor s Degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or an equivalent degree
- Work with engineers to interpret blueprints or conceptual drawings of the project
- Extensive experience as an Estimator in the events, exhibitions, fit-out and joinery field
- Exceptional time management multitasking and interpersonal skills
- Brilliant management and negotiation skills
- Ability to closely collaborate with other project teams and stakeholders
- Excellent research proposal writing and oral presentation skills
- Extensive knowledge of best industry practices and standards
- Advanced computer skills and demonstrable competency with the relevant software
- Ability to travel extensively and perform site visits
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the estimation field of which at least 3 Years in events, exhibition, fit out and joinery industry
