Our well regarded regional Real Estate Developer client has a new requirement for a well experienced Facilities Engineer (Hard Services) to join their team in Riyadh as part of a growing FM Division. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Facilities Engineer (Hard Services) for high profile hospitality and commercial use projects and MUST have had relevant experience in the UAE or Qatar to be considered. The client is open to actively relocating the selected candidates into KSA.


This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent employment opportunity with our client.


Key Responsibilities:

A Facilities Engineer is responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and equipment of buildings and facilities. They perform analyses of operational processes, resource allocation, energy use, and safety processes, and recommend and implement improvements.

  • Site & Building Management:
  • Gathering and analyzing data, blueprints, and reports.
  • Determining facility and equipment specifications.
  • Analyzing project costs and preparing budgets. Designing and overseeing the implementation of facility expansion, layout, various systems, and quality controls.
  • Evaluating operational systems and facility infrastructure to ascertain and improve operational efficiencies.
  • Developing processing plans and optimizing resource allocation. Planning and coordinating infrastructure and equipment maintenance schedules and activities.
  • Coordinating and overseeing contractors performing maintenance activities.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards.
  • Preparing reports and compliance documentation.
  • Building Inspection.
  • Using the right tool to report snags and progress.


Facilities Engineer (Hard Services) Experience:

  • Holder of a Degree/Diploma
  • Holder of a Built Environment trade degree, diploma or certificate
  • 5+ Years of relevant FM experience in High end hospitality and commercial use buildings.
  • At least 3 years in a supervisory / leadership position within a recognised FM delivery team
  • MUST have UAE or Qatar experience in Service Provider or FM Company
  • Knowledge of construction materials and methods.
  • Knowledge of facilities planning and construction management processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of current status of costs of new construction, escalation factors, and market trends.
  • Knowledge of building codes and standards of practice, laws governing construction contracts and contracting.
  • Skills in reading and interpreting plans and specifications and to compare them with progress.
  • Ability to Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans,
  • Ensure manpower and resources are adequate
  • Skills in both verbal and written communications, Strong negotiating skills.
  • Strong computer skills, emphasis on Microsoft Office.
