FF & E Designer - 2 month contract

Our International design consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced FF & E Designer to join their team in Dubai. Successful candidates will have strong FF & E interior design experience and major project exposure in mixed use high rise towers will be preferred.


This role is available for immediate joining and is for an initial 2 month fixed term contract as an outsourced employee through J10 Consulting.


Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the project from concept through to completion with minimal supervision in collaboration with other departments involved.
  • Understanding individual clients' needs and the needs of the people using the space and developing design concepts.
  • Considering materials and costs according to set budgets.
  • Supervising work at the design stage and on-site and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards.
  • Working closely with quantity surveyors to establish costs and work schedules on projects where required.
  • Working closely with the project manager, design coordinators, and project teams on conceptual designs, presentations, design development, and production


Desired Candidate Profile

The desired candidate must: 

  • have a Bachelor’s or Higher Degree In Interior Design/ Architecture, or equivalent from an accredited University or Technical School. 
  • have a minimum of 6 years’ industry experience in high-end corporate design is a must and should be evidenced by a strong portfolio. 
  • have strong background in interior design and project management
  • have strong experience in space planning, design development, and FF&E 
  • have excellent presentation and communication skills 
  • have proficiency with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office suite. 
  • have previous experience designing corporate and commercial workplace projects
