Finance Manager - Design Consultancy

Our Boutique Architecture & Design Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Finance Manager to join their team in Dubai, UAE. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Finance Manager and have relevant experience working in a design consultancy company environment in the UAE.

This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent opportunity, employed directly by our client.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor day-to-day financial operations.
• Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting including VAT, Taxes. Budgets
• Oversee Audits including liaison with 3rd part auditors
• Execute accurate reporting data and producing financial reports.
• Provide analytical support to the senior management and line managers.
• Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action.
• Report monthly, quarterly and annually on performance against budget.
• Responsible for cost control measures and internal controls to ensure that company resources are managed properly, and assets are safeguarded.
• Oversee timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements on a standalone basis.
• Ensure financial statements are prepared in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Plan, coordinate and implement annual operating budget process in collaboration with other department managers.
• Manage the financial aspects of development projects to ensure efficient and effective processes. As needed, upgrade and/or implement appropriate systems and policies, internal controls and standard financial operating procedures.

Finance Manager Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in finance, accounting or similar
• Qualified member of an accountancy body or holder of an equivalent qualification (CA,CPA, ACCA or similar)
• Strong IT skills, specific experience in ZOHO Accounting Software, always being ahead of new technologies.
• Ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision-making.
• High integrity and openness to suggestions and opinions combined with commitment to good governance
• Commercially astute, articulate, technically strong, dynamic, insightful and influential individual with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels within and external to the company.
