Fit Out Engineer - 3 Month Contract

Our Multi National Contracting client has a new requirement for a well experienced Fit Out and Finishing Civil Engineer to join their team in Dubai, UAE. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Fit Out Engineer for a Main Contracting or Fit Out contracting company on large scale commercial fit out projects and contracts in the UAE.

This role is available for immediate joining and is for an initial 3 month fixed term contract as an outsourced employee through J10 Consulting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement all the architectural interior decor works for commercial buildings office buildings hotel interiors and turnkey projects
• Handled the overall implementation of the projects as a Project In-charge for execution maintenance
• Coordinating with consultant client to kick of site to start project construction making all necessary arrangements of building approval procurement of material design drawing and sample approval
• Assessed the bid documents from contractors suppliers and resolved the technical issues
• Liaised with contactors conducted periodic meetings prepared Bills of Quantities
• Involved in planning major projects resolving conflict issues during execution
• Managed supervised the inspection and quality control group
• Provided technical guidance expertise to ensure that the project meets deadline challenges
• Ensured the communication of interdisciplinary operational input from clients to contractors
• Trained large number of crew at several places with targeted completion date
• Feveloped the quality control checklist for all item works in order to facilitate the inspection activity produced high quality works
• Responsible for closing out quality defective works and carrying out 'snagging lists'.
• Assessing the quality of work at all stages of construction and ensure that all persons/materials are capable of achieving the required standards and to specified work progress schedule.
• Responsible for supervision and coordination of all trade teams to ensure smooth and streamlined work activities to achieve the best speed and quality of the finished product.
• Ensure that all subcontractors have a proper understanding of the construction programme dates and are managed to maintain them

Fit Out Engineer Experience:

• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in main contracting / big fit out contracting companies
• At least 3 years of which should be in Dubai
• Driving Licence is preferred
