Forensic Planning Specialist - Consultancy

Our Engineering consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced consultant Forensic Planning Specialist to join their team in Doha, Qatar at a large scale Infrastructure project. Successful candidates will have a proven Consultancy background as a Forensic Planning Specialist on large scale Infrastructure projects in the Qatar and the GCC. Only candidates with UPDA / MMUP Approval can be considered for this role.
This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent opportunity employed by our client.
Key Responsibilities:
- To assist with dispute resolution and claims forensic planning matters on multiple projects, including construction scheduling, delay and disruption analysis.
- Project based tasks to include fact-finding to detailed analysis, quantification of delay and damages, economic modelling, and strategy formation.
- Demonstration of critical paths & consequent disruption etc.
- Development of the master and construction schedules, liaison with works package contractors to ensure all programmes are consistent with the construction schedule.
- Demonstration of entitlement to EoT occurring as a result of delay/ disruption/ loss of efficiency. Production rate analysis and work cycle analysis to demonstrate entitlement to EoT, drafting of claim and negotiation strategy.
- Development of the works baseline programme using Primavera P6.
- Other responsibilities also included defining the notification requirements under the contract for EoT and setting up a standardised system to ensure compliance.
- Preparation in anticipation for the defences to counterclaims and advice regarding retrospective analysis for EOTs, prolongation costs, disruption, programme critiques and delay analysis critiques
Forensic Planning Specialist Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in building construction, engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred
- 15-20 or more years' experience working in a relevant construction project management, scheduling, or cost controls capacity
- At least 3 years working for a recognised Engineering Consultancy / PMC business
- UPDA / MMUP Approval is essential for the role
- Strong skills using relevant software tools: MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), MS Project, Primavera P3/P6, Suretrak
- Ability to create an As Planned vs As Built delay analysis from start to finish
- Experience with disputes, including arbitration or litigation required
- Experience overseeing and work of junior level staff
- Excellent written and verbal skills including experience drafting reports for litigation/arbitration (ability to write and conduct business in English)
- Ability to communicate highly technical material to non-technical audience
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as a member of a team
- Flexible, creative problem-solving skills
