Horticulturalist - Design Consultancy

Our International Architectural Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Horticulturalist to join their team in Dubai to work on major new masterplan and landscape projects in the UAE and wider MENA region. Successful candidates will be a qualified horticulturalist with drive and ideas about expanding upon the standard flora and fauna used in Landscape and Civil beautification projects in the region.

This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire permanent role employed by our client.

Key Responsibilities:

• Push the boundaries of the typical flora and fauna used in the GCC region to develop new standards in landscape projects.
• Plan, design, and manage landscape services and projects
• Work in conjunction with seasoned landscape designers to conceptualise new possibilities of softscape
• Facilitate budget planning for smooth flow of operations.
• Evaluate relevant data to propose recommendations for landscape process improvement
• Develop and review operation plans to improve work procedures and quality service delivery
• Plan, select and oversee appropriate equipment and/or technologies and supplies for project sites
• Preparation of tender and quotations for new projects.
• Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders
• Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions
• Schedule, coordinate meetings, appointments, briefing and placing calls
• Prepare agendas for meetings and prepare presentation materials, reports for meeting and training materials

Horticulturalist Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Agricultural Engineering or Landscape Architecture or related field.
• 8+ years of related experience in Softscape design and project delivery
• Experience in coordinating the design process and successfully managing multiple stakeholders, consultants and sub-consultants
• Excellent communications skills, both written and oral.
• Strong knowledge of the local Flora of the UAE and KSA.
