HSE Engineer - ADNOC Approved - 12 Month Contract

Our Tier 1 client has a new requirement for a well experienced QHSE Engineer to join their team in Abu Dhabi at a large scale ADNOC project. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a QHSE Engineer on ADNOC projects and hold ADNOC approval as a QHSE Engineer or officer. Only candidates who hold prior ADNOC project approvals will be considered.


This role is available for immediate joining and is for an initial 12-month fixed term contract as an outsourced employee through J10 Consulting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Have strong understanding of the HSE issues, practices and behavioral aspects in the Oil & Gas EPC business.
  • Able to lead a team of HSE personnel such as HSE officers, Hygiene officers etc.
  • Sound understanding of the HSE Management System and HSE legislative requirements.
  • Ability to develop and implement HSE plans, Welfare plans,
  • Emergency response procedures/plans and site specific HSE procedures / work instructions.
  • Practical experience in implementation of SSOW (PTW/ WMS/ Risk
  • Assessment etc.)
  • Ability to conduct training/awareness sessions on relevant HSE procedures applicable to the SOW.
  • Ability to implement practical H2S control measures.
  • Ability to conduct HSE audits and inspections.
  • Ability to investigate incidents, identify immediate and root causes.
  • Ability to speak, read and write English with good communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal and verbal & written communication skills.


HSE Engineer - ADNOC Approved Experience:

  • Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Engineering OR Bachelor Degree in relevant science OR HSE discipline (from an institution of higher learning authorized to grant academic degrees in the country of issue)
  • NEBOSH IGC
  • Lead auditor ISO 45001/ ISO 14001 or equivalent incident Investigation techniques.
  • Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in HSE in construction, fabrication, installation and/or commissioning projects / operations in the oil & gas or petrochemical Industries
