HSE Inspector (High Rise Tower) - Main Contractor

Our Multi National Civil Contracting client has a new requirement for a number of experienced Safety Inspectors to join their team in Abu Dhabi at a prestigious new project in the Emirate. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Safety Inspector on major high rise projects in the UAE and have worked in the capacity of Safety Inspector for a Main or Civil Contracting company previously.


This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent opportunity employed by our client.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for identifying potential hazards.
  • Evaluating safety procedures.
  • Inspects machinery, management systems, working methods, and the use and storage of dangerous substances.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Ensures the workplace is safe for workers & members of the public.
  • Ensures employers and employees follow health and safety regulations
  • Facilitate the implementation of applicable OSH elements of the Integrated Management System (IMS) on assigned project/operational location.
  • Monitor project/operational location activities in respect of legal and other OSH compliance, report identified issues, and provide guidance/assistance to the operations team as necessary.
  • Identify and communicate opportunities to improve OSH-related IMS documents to the Project OSH Manager


HSE Inspector Experience:

  • Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering or related preferred
  • Minimum of NEBOSH and OSHAD certification
  • 3 – 5 years of OSH management experience in Tier 1 contractors with building, infrastructure, and preferably structural installation expertise
  • Ability to manage assigned areas and responsibilities
  • Strong team player with flexibility in work timings and allocations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Capacity to deliver training and briefings.
  • AVDETI certified.
