HVAC Engineer - MEP Contractor - 6 Month Contract

Our Tier 1 MEP Contracting client has a new requirement for a number of experienced HVAC Engineers to join their team in Ras Al Khaimah at prestigious new project in the Emirate. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a HVAC Engineer on major 5* Hospitality and High Rise projects in the UAE and have worked in the capacity of HVAC Engineer for a Main Contracting company.


This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 6 Month Contract as an outsource employed by J10 Consulting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • System Design: HVAC Engineers are responsible for designing heating, cooling, and ventilation systems that meet the specific requirements of buildings or projects. This includes calculating heating and cooling loads, selecting appropriate equipment, and designing duct work and piping systems.
  • Installation Oversight: They oversee the installation of HVAC systems to ensure they are installed correctly and according to design specifications. This may involve coordinating with contractors and other construction professionals.
  • Testing and Commissioning: HVAC Engineers conduct tests and inspections to ensure HVAC systems operate efficiently and meet performance standards. They also participate in commissioning activities to ensure systems are properly set up and functioning as intended.
  • Diagnosing issues, performing routine tasks, and troubleshooting problems to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Energy Efficiency and Sustainability: HVAC Engineers often focus on improving energy efficiency and promoting sustainable practices. They may recommend energy-efficient equipment, implement renewable energy solutions, or suggest improvements to reduce environmental impact.
  • Documentation and Reporting: They maintain records of design plans, installation procedures, maintenance schedules, and equipment specifications. They may also prepare reports and documentation for clients, stakeholders, or regulatory agencies.
  • Codes and Standards: HVAC Engineers stay updated on building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to HVAC systems. They ensure that designs and installations comply with these requirements.
  • Client and Team Interaction: They collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and other professionals involved in building projects. Effective communication and teamwork are essential in coordinating HVAC design and implementation


HVAC Engineer Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering
  • At least 5 years’ relevant in HVAC
  • Ability to work using modeling software’s such as ( Revit , AutoCAD , Plant 3D )
  • Ability to use clash detection software’s such as Navisworks
  • Have strong engineering background in Mechanical field
  • Have fair knowledge on the Mechanical & HVAC system components and uses
  • Project Experience in GCC countries working on high rise projects
  • Good communication skills
