Hydraulic Design Engineer - Consultancy - 3 Month Contract

Our Global Engineering Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Hydraulic Engineer to join their design team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Successful candidates will have a strong background in delivering Hydraulic design and hydraulic modelling experience in plumbing, gas and fire protection.


This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 3 month temporary contract, employed as an outsourced candidate through J10 Consulting.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform design calculations related to plumbing (water and drainage), gas and fire protection using governing engineering formulas, standards, skills, and experience.
  • Develop design requirements for main equipment and space planning of the mechanical and pump plantrooms.
  • Experience in utilizing BIM360 for delivery of projects.
  • Experience in Coordination and clash detection between the MEP services and able to solve the technical coordination problems through interface with other disciplines.
  • Prepare general arrangements layouts, and schematic diagrams.
  • Frequently interfaces with other Engineering disciplines as well as other departments
  • Provides technical guidance to REVIT / CAD Designers, Drafters.


Hydraulic Design Engineer Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a major University, Professional Engineer registration may be required.
  • Experience of delivery of Middle East experience is mandatory requirement to demonstrate understanding of regional requirements.
  • Aware of International design practices , standards such as International Plumbing Code, CIBSE, ASHRAE, NFPA, etc.
  • Proficiency in utilizing engineering design software packages for the design of water conveying systems.
  • Ability to implement Quality Management System on projects effectively
