Junior Safety Officer (MEP) - Main Contractor - 3-6 Month Contract

Our Main Contracting client has a new requirement for a number of Junior Safety Officers to join their team in Dubai at a new villa development project in the Emirate. Successful candidates will have experience as a Safety Officer on MEP construction projects in the UAE and have worked in the capacity of Safety Officer for a Main or MEP Contracting company previously.

This role is available for immediate joining and is hiring on a temporary to permanent basis as an initial 6 month contract position, outsourced through J10 Consulting, with the option to transfer to staff after 6 months to suit all parties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and unsafe conditions, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Assist in the development and implementation of safety programs, including training sessions and safety awareness campaigns, to promote a culture of safety.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and training activities, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and readily accessible
• Assist in conducting risk assessments and identifying potential hazards in the workplace.
• Help in developing and implementing safety protocols and procedures.
• Support in investigating accidents and incidents to determine their root cause and prevent recurrence.
• Participate in HSE audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with different departments to enhance safety awareness and practices.
• Aid in delivering safety training to employees on various health and safety topics.

Junior Safety Officer Experience:

• Degree / Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related preferred
• Minimum of NEBOSH certification
• 1-3 years of experience as safety officer in recognised main or MEP contractors with villa or towers project experience.
• Ability to manage assigned areas and responsibilities.
• Strong team player with flexibility in work timings and allocations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
