Land Surveyor - Main Contractor - 6 Month Contract

Our Tier 1 Main Contracting Client has a new requirement for a well experienced Land Surveyor to join their team in Abu Dhabi to work on high profile new build villa masterplan projects. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Land Surveyor working on high profile projects in the UAE with prior experience in working for recognised Main Contracting Companies

This role is available for immediate joining and is hiring on a temporary to permanent basis as an initial 6 month contract position, outsourced through J10 Consulting, with the option to transfer to staff after 6 months to suit all parties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform land/field surveys and geodetic calculations.
• Interface with client and contractors to determine and verify project survey requirements.
• Complete the surveying requirements on schedule and within man-hour and cost budgets.
• Check setting-out and levels. Check services locations and ensure their protection.
• Prepare sketches to support the field work. Maintain all the survey information (field books, sketches and calculations).
• Measure work done when required.
• Observe site safety procedures.
• Assist in the preparation of ‘as-built’ drawings.
• Act positively, and participate in all health and safety issues at site, as required by the Resident Engineer, and project Safety Representative.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
• Commitment to safe work practices.

Land Surveyor Experience:

• The surveyor must have relevant technical qualification and must have not less than 3 years of experience in survey works with modern instruments in works related to major villa masterplan works.
• Previous UAE Experience in Main Contracting is required
• Experience of inspection / supervising of project activities/works.
• Highly experienced in Total Station and their associated software.
• Computer literate with working knowledge of Auto CAD and other related software.
