Landscape Architect - Consultancy

Our International Architectural & Engineering Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Landscape Architect to join their team in Dubai to work on a new masterplan projects in the UAE and MENA region. Successful candidates will have experience as a Landscape Architect ideally with a recognised consultancy company background.

This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire permanent role employed by our client.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performs work that involves conventional practice but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials or procedures, or difficult coordination requirements.
• Applies standard practices and techniques in specific situations.
• Assists and engages in Concept Design, Schematic Design, Detailed Design, Tender, and Construction documentation for all projects.
• Researches feasibility of alternative design approaches, based upon client's specifications, site conditions, Authorities specifications, or regulations, for incorporation into the layout.
• Determines existing site conditions and prepares site analysis studies.
• Designs and draws conceptual plans for site layout, planting, and grading, for review by design associate.
• Prepares preliminary construction cost estimates.
• Assists in the coordination of design plans with other disciplines.
• Observes construction projects to determine if landscape work is followed according to plans and specifications.
• Consults vendors for updating the research library or obtaining material samples and/or technical literature. Qualifications & Technical Skills.

Landscape Architect Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or related field.
• 2 - 5 years of Landscape Architecture experience.
• Good Competency in CAD experience is required.
• Experience with Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, etc) and Microsoft Office is required.
• 3D modeling software (SketchUp or Revit) experience.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.
• Technical writing and basic computer skills desired
• Demonstrate ability to work effectively in a diverse work environment individually and collaboratively.
• Good knowledge of the local Flora and Fauna of the UAE and KSA.
