Landscape Architect - Consultancy - 6-12 Month Contract

Our International Infrastructure Design consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Landscape Architect to join their team in Riyadh, KSA at a high profile project. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Landscape Architect on large scale Master Plan and Urban Development projects in the Kingdom and the wider GCC.


This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 6-12 month fixed term contract as an outsourced employee through J10 Consulting..


Key Responsibilities:

  • This critical role will be responsible for creating, collating and managing Building Information Models (BIM), to ensure information and coordination integrity in compliance with project deliverables. Responsibilities Paramount to success within this varied role will include:
  • Creating Landscape BIM models using Autodesk Revit
  • Liaising with BIM Manager and represents Landscape division for all BIM related issues.
  • Coordinating with other disciplines, Project Managers, Engineers, Architects and specialist consultants.
  • Assist and engage in Concept design, Schematic design, Detailed design and Tender design preparation and documentation
  • Ability to understand and abide by Owner’s requirements and Basis of Design for content and adherence to client’s budget
  • Assist in coordinating MEP design loads pertaining to water supply, drainage, lighting and irrigation requirements
  • Ability to select and implement hardscape materials and plant species
  • Good knowledge of local materials and availability, regional construction technology and standards of practice
  • Setting up project BIM files for use by all users on a project.
  • Maintaining and updating file templates for Navisworks, Revit projects and Revit families
  • Monitoring BIM models for coordination and information integrity to ensure compliance with project deliverables and company BIM standards
  • Attending project coordination meetings.
  • Researching and testing new software and Revit add-ins to make recommendations to the Senior BIM Coordinator
  • Maintaining and sharing BIM libraries in collaboration with counterpart BIM Coordinators in other offices.
  • Contributing to developing BIM standards and workflows for best practices.
  • Contributing to the effective functioning of the team by identifying with and participating in the attainment of team objectives, communicating and sharing knowledge


Landscape Architect Experience:

  • BSc In Architecture or Landscape Contracting
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant career experience in Landscape Architecture
  • At least 2 years of which will be working in KSA or Wider GCC
  • Strong BIM and REVIT Proficiency is essential
  • Previous experience working in a recognised Consultancy company is preferred
