Lifting Supervisor - Project Management Consultancy

Our Global Project Management Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Consultant Lifting Supervisor to join their team in NEOM, KSA at a high profile Infrastructure & Build project. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Consultant Lifting Supervisor for large infrastructure and build projects ideally within KSA and/or the wider GCC. Candidates must have worked with recognised PMC or Engineering Consultancy companies previously.


This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent placement with our client.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Able to give clear, unambiguous instruction to all other members of the lifting team.
  • Have knowledge and understanding of when and how to escalate any matter relating to safe lifting practices or site safety in general.
  • Monitor lifting operations, ensuring that these are carried out in accordance with approved Lifting procedures and lifting plans.
  • Ensuring that adequate inspection/examination and maintenance of the equipment and lifting accessories has been carried out.
  • Stop lifting operations whenever it is considered that danger is likely to arise if the operation was to continue.
  • They are responsible for coordinating and supervising all lifting activities in accordance with regulations and is required to be present during all lifting operations.
  • Carry out Lifting Audits on contractors.
  • Fully conversant with the duties of all personnel involved in the lifting operation.
  • Ensuring that contractors prestart inspections are carried on all lifting equipment and accessories.
  • Ensuring the contractors are wearing appropriate PPE.
  • Attend daily activity briefings of the contractors.
  • Refer to Lifting managers / Lifting Leads for further instruction if necessary


Lifting Supervisor Experience:

  • Minimum Diploma in Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum Five (5) year demonstrable experience in the lifting operations on site.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have LEEA accreditation'
  • Must have relevant experience in large scale lifting operations on major infrastructure and build projects
  • Must be fluent in English both written and spoken with good capability in oral and written communication skills;
  • Fully conversant with lifting and rigging Safety procedures
