Marine Engineer (Dredging & Reclamation) - PMC - 9-12 Month Contract

Our Global Project Management Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Consultant Marine Engineer experienced in dredging and land reclamation to join their team in Abu Dhabi to work on a new marine project in the Emirate. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Consultant Marine Engineer working on similar projects in the UAE performing design review and site supervision. Only candidates with a track record of working for recognised supervision consultants or PMC Companies will be considered.

This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 9-12 month contract position hire as an outsource, employed by J10 Consulting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage design development, technical reviews, and project execution for marine/coastal works
• Drive value engineering initiatives and optimize construction methodologies
• Contribute towards project controls, risk management, and quality assurance systems
• Work within multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and HSE standards
• Lead design reviews and ensure compliance with technical standards.
• Manage subcontractors, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Resolve on-site engineering challenges
• Liaise with environmental agencies for permits and sustainability compliance.

Consultant Marine Engineer Experience:

• BSc in Civil, Marine or related
• 8-10+ years in marine/coastal infrastructure projects, including island reclamation
• Advanced knowledge of coastal processes and marine structure design
• Strong background in construction planning and contract management
• Experience with relevant design software and project management tools
• Professional certification in Civil/Marine Engineering with project management credentials preferred
• Minimum 3-5 years UAE and regional experience at least 2 with a recognised Design or Supervision Consultancy Company working on major marine developments
• Strong communication, stakeholder and client management skills in a client facing role
