Our Multi National Project & Commercial management consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Marketing & Communications Director to join their team in Dubai, UAE. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Marketing & Communications Manager / Director working in an engineering, construction or professional services company in the UAE.


This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent opportunity, employed directly by our client.


Key Responsibilities:

The Marketing & Communications Director is responsible for business growth and marketing and communications strategy for the business.

Our client has an international presence with offices in three countries. The director is responsible for individual market business growth and communications strategy as well as the strategy of the entire business.

The communications role covers both internal and external stakeholders and he/she is responsible for developing and/or approving the content that the business communicates in both audience segments.

She/he reports directly to the CEO and COO and has a team reporting to him/her

The Marketing & Communications Director will develop and oversee the implementation of the business growth strategy and the marketing and communications strategy.

He/she will guide and approve the marketing and communications collateral development process for the entire business and will have accountability for the company social accounts.

A vigilant brand guardian, the director will maintain and safeguard the website, the corporate logos, style guides and brand guidelines for the entire business and protect the corporate tone of voice and ethos across all content.

Additionally, she/he must also take an active role in the review and approval of all company documentation that is issued to the market, this will include bid proposals, quarterly circulars, client presentations, etc. Every team member should proactively learn the core values of the client and exemplify these values while delivering her/his best work.

The Marketing & Communications Director is typically found in the office unless there is a client or networking function or business development opportunity that requires oversight or a need to engage with the teams in other country offices.

The position mandates an awareness and reverence towards one’s mental fitness and work life balance. He/she should embody the enthusiasm to sell the business and its capabilities to other businesses and senior level personnel across revenue streams, geographies, and sectors while shaping its positive perception among these same interested parties. 


Marketing & Communications Director Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in marketing, advertising or communications
  • Minimum five years of working experience in senior marketing and communications roles ideally within a recognised project management, cost or engineering consultancy business.
  • A proven successful track record of campaign creation and execution Proficiency with HTML, content management systems, email marketing, digital marketing and design software
  • Established roster of media and PR contacts
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Solid experience in digital and print marketing, content marketing, social media marketing, public relations, and photo & video production
  • Strong sense of aesthetics and understanding of visual design (layout, composition balance, colors and fonts) with a keen eye for details and quality
  • Middle East/GCC experience is an advantage
