Our International leisure and entertainment D&B client has a new requirement for a well experienced Marketing Executive to join their team in Dubai, UAE. Successful candidates will have extensive Marketing experience in the GCC

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Regional Marketing Executive will work within the market to understand the local conditions and build networks with the regional trade organizations, the media, and customers across both the MEI and ERA regions. Working in collaboration with the central marketing team and the Executive Regional Vice President and Sales for each region, this position will execute activities that reflect the local and cultural understanding of our client to drive relevance in their marketing. They will become a subject matter expert on the marketing of all the client brands and how best to promote them to the local audiences.

This role covers the marketing remit from product marketing, content marketing and social, PR and tradeshows. They take the responsibility as the voice of the brand aiming to build trust and fidelity and protect our industry-leading brand status.
The Regional Marketing Lead will be responsible for leading the development of client’s marketing mix within the region to respond to the cultural requirements and market conditions of this essential region to maintain client’s market leadership. This position is able to translate audience and market insight into ROI driving marketing programs to build brand awareness and adoption, including providing the sales team with collateral and tools. Areas of responsibility include:
Industry expertise
- Identify and develop strategic relationships for opportunities to support brand position and drive engagement within the region including local publications journalists and industry organizations (eg IAAPA Europe’s team BALPA, MENLAC, EWA)
- Network within these associations and groups
- Maintain awareness of current and changing market trends, customer attitudes and opinions.
- Read magazines, flag ads, save digital articles, and share with Salesforce/team.
- Research key markets for opportunities including data, lists, industry forums and events, key influencers and decision-makers.
- Researching and record competitor activities
- Share this insight internally and synthesize these findings to make our marketing more relevant and engaging.
- Researching local project details/unique angles for press releases and manage regional installation list with local project team & Project Services
- Reaching our audience (strategy development)
- Understand differences between markets and their audience decision-making process.
- Co-Create strategies and tactics to promote the Brand and increase engagement across our audiences with support from Marketing Director and RVP
- Create, and deliver regional marketing plans.
- Lead creation of regional promotional campaigns
- Track and report on key metrics including operating within the agreed budget.
- Co-create Propositions for new Audiences (e.g., hotels & resorts,) with Sales and the head office marketing team.
- Advice on local advertising and PR to increase the share of voice for constantly improving budget effectiveness.
- Key account relationship support for the client – recognize customer relationships status and communicate appropriately, eg opening and seasonal gifts, client hospitality
- Monitor website traffic (lead Forensics) and lead progress within CRM
Content development + Curation
- As an expert in the MEI and ERA regional attractions market, develop marketing that differentiates our client as the leaders in this marketplace and retains brand consistency.
- Create new local communication content - including (but not limited to) blogs, email, newsletters, website landing pages designed to attract new readers, delivering good quality leads.
- Interface with key stakeholders to ensure content captures readers' interest and is accurate while promoting the brand messages.
- Ensure grammatical and correct in terms of project details.
- Lead creation of effective local sales materials such as brochures and presentations.
- Adapt and translate all product marketing materials including launch campaigns for new products as required.
- Include local language requirements where the need is identified.
- Write local award entries.
- Help maintain the website, ensuring regional content is updated regularly.
- Coordinate video asset development by helping plan and manage filming trips including park access/permissions.
- Build relationships with local parks to maintain reference sites and help promote projects as they open.
- Drive brand engagement
- Lead development of content and strategy for localized social media activity to grow followers, engagement and drive brand awareness in the region.
- Researching and writing local content for weekly social posts (all platforms) which are consistent with our brand, maintaining regional showcase pages in LinkedIn and encourage the regional teams to be active in these platforms.
- Working with colleagues to make sure that opening announcements are timely and use the best imagery.
- Help manage local tradeshows working closely with the head office Tradeshow and Event Manager
- Prepare local materials and be local show liaison contact.
- Prepare client events, venue research & booking, logistics and invitation lists etc.
- Attend shows and manage the lead collection.
- Research new shows and make recommendations during the annual budgeting process.
- Maximize the impact of any regional sponsorships and explore new shows.
- Work with local industry organizations (eg BALPA, MENLAC, EWA) to create presentations for local speaking opportunities.
Management and Reporting
- Manage supplier relationships including, translation agency, PR agency and tradeshow suppliers.
- Work closely with head office marketing colleagues, use Asana project management system to collaborate on activities and attend team meetings remotely (which means later calls twice a month) plus weekly 121 updates.
- Manage brochure and SWAG inventory for the local teams.
- Monitor and report on activity metrics and KPIs including web traffic & leads, contribute to departmental monthly reporting.
Marketing Executive Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post-secondary education in Marketing or Communications and Media.
- 3 - 5 years of marketing experience.
- Strong background in content writing—in both short (social posts) and long (press release) forms.
- High proficiency in the English language for accurate writing, editing, and proofreading copy.
- Solid understanding of social media analytics.
- Familiarity with WordPress.
- Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Highly organized, with the ability to independently manage schedules and meet deadlines.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external working relationships with all levels in the organization.
- A self-starter who prefers to be hands-on with a ‘roll-up your sleeves, do whatever it takes to get the job done' attitude.
