Mechanical Engineer - Consultancy - 3 Month Contracts

Our Global Project Management Consultancy (PMC) client has a new requirement for a well experienced Consultant Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Doha, Qatar to work on a new project. Successful candidates will have extensive experience as a Mechanical Engineer ideally with a recognised consultancy company background who have worked on commercial, residential and mixed use projects.


This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 3 month contract hire as an outsourced employee through J10 Consulting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • The use of Autodesk Revit tools to present design and engineering solutions for all projects.
  • Assisting Senior Mechanical Engineers in research, planning, design and development of building engineering systems related to Mechanical Engineering
  • Oversee the administration of contacts with vendors for the provision of services and equipment.
  • Conduct reviews of engineering options and evaluations to validate the robust nature of new products and design solutions.
  • Ensure that all QAQC procedures are followed for the project, and work with the project team to close out all comments received from the QAQC reviewers.
  • Work with the Senior Mechanical Engineers to obtain project related approvals from the relevant local authorities.
  • Work on activities at project level within own field of responsibility.
  • Conduct initial design studies to address specific design problems and challenges.


Consultant Mechanical Engineer Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Thorough knowledge of of AutoCAD, BIM and HAP Cooling Load Software is desirable.
  • Proven experience with a recognised consultancy company is essential
  • Minimum of 8 years relevant experience (at least 4 in the GCC)
  • Full life cycle delivery of a school project is advantageous
