MEP Commercial Manager

Our Multi National Tier 1 MEP Contracting client has a new requirement for a well experienced MEP Commercial Manager to join their team in Abu Dhabi on a prestigious project. Successful candidates will have a proven background as an MEP Commercial Manager on Major Mixed Use and Commercial projects in the UAE.
This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire permanent employment opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
- To ensure that the main contracts terms and conditions of tender documents and other pre-bid agreements for prospective projects across the company reviewed and where necessary commercial and contractual qualifications are drafted in order to ensure that the terms of offer protect and/or further safeguard the company’s interest and comply with company guidelines.
- To develop and maintain policies and procedures in order to ensure effective administration of contractual and commercial matters related to the Main Contracts, subcontracts and other suppliers of goods and services including advising on disputes, claims etc. in order to maximize the financial recovery and profits.
- To undertake reviews of project financial reports in order to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting and appropriate identification and management of risk and opportunity issues.
- To oversee the preparation, review, amendment and negotiation of terms and conditions of pre-bid agreements, joint venture agreements, main contracts, supply agreements etc in order to protect and further company interests commercially and contractually.
- To develop and implement dispute resolution processes within the company in order to resolve disputes to the advantage of the company and consistent with company’s business strategy.
- To ensure adequate insurances are in place to cover the company’s activities within company guidelines and policies in order to protect company assets and operations.
- To coordinate the notification and negotiation of insurance claims across the company in order maximise the settlement value.
- To coordinate the approval and administration of bonds and bank guarantees across the company in order to protect the company’s position.
- To prepare claims & variances review
- To represent Company in realising claims & variances at various levels and various dispute resolution processes
MEP Commercial Manager Experience:
- Degree in MEP or Commercial, Legal, and Quantity Surveying or related disciplines
- MRICS (Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors) - Preferred
- Minimum of 15 years experience
- Experience in the construction industry dealing quantity survey, contracts, risk management, insurances, disputes, claims, legal issues, financial management and all associated commercial aspects of a major construction company.
- Experience in project management and leadership jobs in the Middle East.
