MEP Manager - Contractor

Our multi national Construction Contracting client has a new requirement for a well experienced MEP Manager to join their team in Bahrain at a prestigious new project. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a MEP Manager on major projects in the Bahrain and the wider GCC working for a major Contracting business working on residential and commercial projects.

This role is available for immediate joining and is a permanent hire role direct with our client.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and Communicate with Field Supervision, Subcontractors and Vendors to assist them in working to the Project Schedule as it pertains to MEP
• Administer financial aspects of the Owner’s contract, subcontracts, and purchase orders
• Build effective working relationships with clients and the project team members
• Purchasing process and document control
• Review subcontractor references, obtain Subcontractor bonds, and maintain project files
• Maintain and manage all purchase and delivery schedules, change order processes, shop drawings, document control logs, Owner, Architect and Subcontractor correspondence
• Deliver all necessary manuals to the Owner, consolidates project documentation and files
• Manage subcontractor closeout, transfer of utilities, owner training, and punch list process
• Deliver all warranties, as-builds and training to the owner.
• Scheduling of design reviews at all gateways and control points
• Organising and managing technical MEP review team resources and input
• Developing and monitoring the clients brief, directing the fast-track high-end design delivery scope and execution of the scheme
• Developing a high performing team that strives for quality, safety, cost and schedule improvements at every opportunity with all delivery partners, challenging and seeking to improve the project deliverables

MEP Manager Experience:

• Minimum 10-12 years overall experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognised university
• Previous experience of working in a recognised Contracting Company
• Proven track record of working on high profile residential and commercial projects
• Knowledgeable in all MEP Disciplines
• Relevant experience in residential and commercial construction
• Ability to coordinate design and delivery.
• Focussed with on-time construction
• Strict compliance to specifications
