Offshore Transportation & Installation Planner - Consultancy - 6 Month Contract

Our International Project Management Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Offshore Transportation & Installation Planning Engineer with experience in leisure and entertainment and / or offshore projects to join their team in Dubai / Dammam (KSA). Successful candidates will have strong Offshore transport and installation experience working on offshore or theme park projects and ideally have worked for a recognised PMC / Consultancy business.


The project is located in KSA, visa, accommodation and transport in the Kingdom with be provided by the client.


This role is available for immediate joining and is for an initial 6 month fixed term contract as an outsourced employee through J10 Consulting.


Key Responsibilities:

Transportation Planning:

  • Collaborate with project teams to plan and design
  • offshore transportation and installation
  • , including navigational routes, identification of ports, shipyards and dry-docks, , for accessing offshore facilities.
  • Ensure that designs comply with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and industry best practices.

Logistics and Operations Management:

  • Manage transportation logistics, including scheduling, coordination, and transportation routes for offshore personnel, equipment, and materials.
  • Optimize transportation operations for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Prioritize transportation safety, ensuring that all transportation activities adhere to safety regulations, protocols, and industry standards.
  • Conduct safety assessments and risk analyses for transportation operations.

Environmental Stewardship:

  • Promote environmentally responsible transportation practices and compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Implement measures to minimize the environmental impact of transportation activities.

Emergency Response Planning:

  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans for transportation incidents, including accidents and evacuations.
  • plan/Conduct regular drills and exercises to ensure preparedness.

Budget Management:

  • Prepare and manage budgets for transportation-related activities, tracking expenditures and ensuring cost control.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to source transportation services and equipment within budget constraints.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain comprehensive records of transportation activities, safety reports, compliance documentation, and transportation schedules.
  • Prepare and submit transportation reports to senior management and regulatory authorities as required.

Training and Awareness:

  • Plan, develop and deliver transportation safety and awareness training programs for offshore personnel and transportation staff.
  • Promote transportation safety culture and awareness campaigns


Offshore Transportation & Installation Planner Experience:

  • Degree qualified in Logistics or related. Minimum BSc
  • You will have demonstrable experience of delivering projects from concept through completion in a multi-disciplinary and/or multi-office project execution environment for a recognised consultancy in the GCC
  • At least 12 years of prior experience in the FEED, EPC as well as front end part of the engineering development for onshore and offshore projects.
  • A can do, hands on approach, able to work well under pressure and prioritize workload to meet project needs
  • Willing and quick to adapt to project/team needs and learn from experience
